It was a quick early morning trip on the weekend down to Burleigh Head on the Gold Coast. There was a bit of low cloud off the coast, but it end up producing some excellent sunburst at first light. All the surfers streaming into the water around the headland also helped finish the images and convey what Burleigh Heads is all about.
My tips for early morning shore photography: 1) get your feet wet and get into the water; 2) drag your shutter so you have movement in the waves, don't try and shoot with a shutter slower that 1 second; and 3) wait for the waves to recede before releasing the shutter for best effect.
Cheers,
Russell
