As 2025 draws to a close, I would just like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their ongoing support. Like most people, 2025 was just a year that I got through. I had some great experiences along the way (and some not so great experiences), but I can look back and be thankful. Thank you to everyone who joined me along the way.
To help wrap up, here are three of my favourite images from 2025 along with a short story behind each one.
The Three Kings
After a hard trek up Roy's Peak, conditions couldn't have been better. I love this image for the fact that it shows something new from one of the most photographed locations in New Zealand.

Vulture Wake
A shot I have been planning for a few years. I deliberately dragged the shutter in this image to convey a sense of motion and chaos around these White-backed Vultures.

Cleared to land
This year was the year of the bee-eaters. I chose this image because it was one of five bee-eater species I got to photograph across Australia and Southern Africa in 2025.
