I disappeared for a few weeks to South Africa and Botswana in November. I am still in the process of working through several hundred photographs, but I hope to start showing these in the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, here are a few previews. I hope you like them.
Cheers,

This photograph was taken at Zimanga Private Game Reserve in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. The reserve allows you to alight from the vehicle and approach the cheetahs. It feels a bit tame, but it allows you to get this type of low angle.

Lions, lions, lions.....
I often go an entire trip without seeing lions. On this trip, I got see lions virtually every day.
This youngster was photographed in the Kruger National Park along the banks of the Letaba River. A troupe of Chacma Baboons had recently passed, and the cubs seemed very interested in their presence. Fortunately, everything ended well. Chacma Baboons will kill lion cubs given the opportunity.

The bridge and the crocodile
This looks a bit like a drone shot but it's actually a handheld photograph taken from the Letaba River bridge in the Kruger National Park. Visitors are allowed to alight from their vehicles on the bridge, and it makes for a great vantage point, with hippos, waterbuck, crocodiles and numerous bird species often visible directly below.
